Emma Ingala & Touching Improvisation Lab

Worlds to come 2024 begins in a special collaboration with La Mutant andThe Touching Community (expanded version)

Saturday, January 20th at 11.45 a.m. in the auditorium of the Faculty of Fine Arts (UPV):

Conference of Emma Ingala Gómez: “The lost touch.”

Western culture is an optical culture. Vision (and its blind spots) reigns as a means of apprehending reality and ourselves, but it was not always so. Or at least that’s what we tell ourselves. The myth of the origins of this culture tells us that in the beginning of time we were haptic, tactile beings. However, as if we had been thrown out of paradise, at a specific moment that touch was lost. Can we ever touch and be touched again? Or is it that we never really stopped touching?

Aimar Pérez Galí & Jaime Conde-Salazar will dialogue with the philosopher and present their project The Touching Community (expanded version)
