BUITS. Workshop for the activation of empty lots in Ciutat Vella.
BUITS: a day dedicated to rethink the role of empty lots in Ciutat Vella, in close collaboration with Amics del Carme.
We will start the morning with two lectures related to the theme of empty lots, given by Rafael Temes, professor of the Department of Urbanism of the UPV, and Carpe Studio. Then we will undertake a guided walk through CaminArt in which we will learn about the history and present of the 5 lots chosen for this activity: Carniceros street, Salinas street, Princesa lot, En Borrás street, and the IVAM garden. We will be accompanied by neighbors of El Carmen who will contribute with their daily vision. Finally, the participants will be divided into groups and will be encouraged to propose ways of activation for each of the chosen plots.
