Grup de Dolçaina i Percussió UPV end-of-year concert

Next Tuesday, May 12, 2026, the Grup de Dolçaina i Percussió de la Universitat Politècnica de València will offer its traditional end-of-year concert at the Vera campus.

The concert will present a varied repertoire that combines contemporary compositions with arrangements of well-known pieces, showing the versatility of the dolçaina and percussion in different musical styles. Among the programmed works are titles such asOn the march yLa Ratllaby X. Richart;La Primaveraby J.LL. Valdecabres; orQuadern de Déniaby J.R. Pascual Vilaplana.

The program will also include adaptations of pieces such asMarco Polobased on the work of Loreena McKennitt, andGusty Gardenby Japanese composer Mahito Yokota. The event will culminate with a performance ofGaudeamus Igiturarranged by Fernando Cantó Salinas, structured in four movements inspired by landscapes and cultural elements of Dénia.

The concert will be conducted by Fernando Cantó Salinas, who has worked with the group during the 2025/26 academic year to prepare this repertoire.
