The Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Service aims to provide members of the UPV with access to documents not available in our library, as well as providing other external institutions with access to our University’s holdings. |
What documents can be requested?
The documents requested may only be used for private, teaching or research purposes, and their reprography and use must comply with current copyright and intellectual property legislation. Excluded are readily available documents, reference works, old material or material requiring special preservation conditions, insurance, etc., as well as patents and standards, journal fascicles and complete electronic books. |
Steps to use the service: 1. Apply for registration using the form. 2. Once registration has been confirmed by email, requests can be made using the interlibrary loan form. Recommendations:
3. When the document arrives, the user will be notified by email. Copies of articles, book chapters, etc. will be supplied in electronic format, unless copyright restrictions require them to be supplied in hard copy. |

Steps to use the service: 1. Apply for registration using the form. 2. A provisional registration will be given for free copies. 3. The Department, Research Structure or Service will be contacted for consent to be assigned as a cost centre. Many documents are provided at no cost, thanks to agreements with other libraries, but some may have a financial cost, especially documents requested from abroad or original documents on loan.
4. Once the registration has been confirmed, requests can be made using the interlibrary loan form. Recommendations: Only one document may be requested per application. It is important to fill in as many fields as possible in the form to make it easier to identify and locate them:

Advice on information searches: As well as locating and supplying documents that are not available in the UPV collections, we can also advise on how to search for information, create alerts on the main resources and locate further documents based on an article of interest. |

This service can also be requested from time to time by External Users, such as researchers not linked to the UPV, public or private entities, etc., provided that the corresponding cost is paid. |
What documents can be requested:
The documents requested may only be used for private, teaching or research purposes, and their reprography and use must comply with current copyright and intellectual property legislation. Excluded are readily available documents, reference works, old material or material requiring special preservation conditions, insurance, etc., as well as patents and standards, journal fascicles and complete electronic books. |
Steps to use the service: 1. Application for service registration, with all the personal and contact details required by the service, by sending an email to prest@bib.upv.es. 2. Once the registration has been confirmed by us, requests can be made using the same email address: prest@bib.upv.es with the maximum amount of information regarding the documenton. 3. The user will be informed of the amount of the document and must pay it, by bank transfer, as a preliminary step in order to begin negotiations with the supplier.

The Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Service supplies documents from the UPV collection to other libraries, both national and foreign, public or private. |
How can documents be requested? The requesting libraries can send their request from the GTBIB system, the NILDE form or by email to: prest@bib.upv.es Before making the request for documents, it is recommended to check the stock, in the case of a journal article, or its location in PoliBuscador by indicating in the request the web address of the register or the document symbol. |

Payment methods and fees: For the remaining Spanish libraries, REBIUN fees apply, although payment with IFLA vouchers and the establishment of reciprocity or free-of-charge relationships, or compensation accounts is allowed. Foreign libraries can make payments by means of IFLA vouchers (international inter-library payment system) and reciprocity of fees applies. Reciprocity or free-of-charge relationships, or compensation accounts, can also be established. |
