The companies Physio MRI Tech, EBHealth3 and TRL+, linked to the Universitat Politècnica de València science park, have been awarded for their innovative entrepreneurial and business initiatives in the IV edition of the rePCV awards.
The network of science parks of the Comunitat Valenciana presented its annual awards at a gala held on December 20 at the Science Park of Alicante. With these awards, the rePCV seeks to contribute to the development and consolidation of companies created and developed with the support of the five Valencian science parks, including the science park of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). These awards promote and enhance the entrepreneurial spirit in the five Valencian science parks and strengthen university-business relations.
Of the nine awards presented in this fourth edition, three went to companies linked to the ecosystem of the Universitat Politécnica de València. The spin-off award went to the company Physio MRI Tech S.Lwhose mission is to democratize access to Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) testing worldwide and to manufacture a high quality, reliable MRI machine that is 95% less expensive than current MRI machines.
The company EBHealth3, S.L.,located in building 9B, Business Development Center of the UPV, received the runner-up prize in the start-up category. On the other hand, the runner-up prize for University-Business Collaboration went to the company TRL Plus, S.L.
The three companies agree on the value of the UPV science park for the connection it provides them with the latest scientific and technological developments at the university. Their representatives, Alfonso Rios, CEO of Physio MRI Tech S.L., Pablo Gonzalvez of EBHealth3, S.L. and Luis Morró, Founder of TRL+, tell us about their experience in an interview.
