Improvements in the energy efficiency of UPV buildings

The UPV regularly undertakes renovation works in its buildings that aim to improve the comfort conditions of its users. These actions are an important part of the work carried out by the Infrastructure Service since the UPV has more than 690,000m2 built surface in 111 ‘mature-aged’ buildings. Energy refurbishment work is part of the institution’s decarbonization roadmap.

In the last two years, three major operations have been carried out under the program for the Energy Rehabilitation of Existing Buildings (PREE), within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (C2:l3), financed by the European Union-NextGenerationEU. Once the work on buildings 7A, 7B, and 7G was completed, the energy rating certificates were updated, showing significant improvement thanks to the investments made.
