Would you like to start a business, but don’t know where to begin? Do you have an idea floating around in your head, or do you simply want to find out how startups get started?
DAY[EMPRENDE] is the gateway to the entrepreneurial ecosystem at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the best starting point for beginning the new entrepreneurial year alongside IDEAS UPV.
The October 1, 2026, and we invite you to take part in a hands-on experience where you’ll discover how to turn an idea into a project and learn firsthand how to become an entrepreneur at the UPV.
Learn by Doing
Forget about traditional classes. At DAY[EMPRENDE], you’ll learn by working in teams, solving challenges, sharing ideas, and using the tools that startups employ to turn problems into opportunities.
During the event, you’ll be able to:
- Discover the entrepreneurial ecosystem of IDEAS UPV and StartUPV, and learn about the resources the UPV makes available to you to help you create your project.
- Hear about the experiences of entrepreneurs who began their journeys in college and now lead innovative companies.
- Learn about the main trends in entrepreneurship and discover how the most innovative business models are developed.
- Work as a team to design a business model using tools such as Business Model Canvas and Lean Canvas.
- Create an initial prototype that addresses a business challenge and gather feedback to continue improving it.
You don’t need any prior experience or a business idea.
Just curiosity, a desire to learn, and a willingness to work with others.

Date: Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Location: StartUPV (Office 1,084), Building 9B – West Entrance, Valencia Campus
Format: Blended Learning
- 4 hours of mandatory in-person instruction.
- 6 hours of independent online work (PoliformaT / Teams).
Academic recognition: 1 ECTS
Price: Free for UPV students, UPV graduates, and UPV PLUS alumni.
