The UPV is holding an Institutional Welcome Day for master’s students for the 26/27 academic year

The Polytechnic University of Valencia is organizing the UPV Master’s Program Institutional Welcome Day, 26/27, an event designed to bring together and support graduate students as they begin this new phase of their academic journey.

The session will take place on Monday, October 19, 2026, during the hours of 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the Vera Campus. This initiative is specifically designed to help students settle in, with a special focus on those coming from other universities or countries.

Objectives of the meeting

The workshop aims to equip students with the tools they need to function independently in college life:

  • Belonging and Integration: To raise awareness of the UPV community, its values, facilities, and support services.
  • Interdisciplinary networking: To encourage interaction among students from different degree programs in order to create collaborative networks.
  • Holistic development: Show the options available beyond the curriculum: research, entrepreneurship, international opportunities, sports, culture, and volunteer work.
  • Active listening: Identify the students’ needs and interests at the start of the school year.

Content Structure

Under the academic direction of Marina Alonso Díaz, the conference will be organized around five major thematic areas:

  1. Institutional Welcome.
  2. Get to know and experience the UPV.
  3. My experience as a master’s student.
  4. Building My Career Path (College Experience).
  5. Connect and get involved.

Furthermore, this training program falls within the realm of personal development and is eligible for the PIAE+ program.
