The First Ibero-American Congress on Digital Creation and Manufacturing is presented as a pioneering forum for exchange, dialogue, and cooperation among universities, technology centers, and research institutions in Ibero-America. Over the course of three days (July 1–3, 2026), this event will bring together experts, academics, researchers, technologists, and students to discuss the challenges and opportunities of digital manufacturing as a driver of scientific, economic, social, and cultural transformation.
Online Presence
This conference was conceived with a strong focus on networking. Organized by the Network of Spanish Universities in Digital Creation and Manufacturing, the event will feature the active participation of institutions connected through collaborative platforms, distributed laboratories, and FabLabs or university maker spaces. The conference’s network structure will enable the participation of various institutions from Ibero-American countries, fostering an ecosystem where experiences, best practices, and open innovation projects in the field of digital manufacturing will be shared. The Polytechnic University of Valencia holds the vice-presidency of this network, which was established in 2025 and decided to host this conference at our university.
Mainstreaming
Digital manufacturing will be addressed from a cross-disciplinary perspective and applied to multiple sectors: from industrial design, architecture, engineering, and the visual arts to medicine, sustainability, education, agriculture, and cultural heritage. The conference will highlight how these technologies—3D printing, laser cutting, parametric design, robotics, automation, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality—are being adopted and adapted by various disciplines to address complex challenges and foster new models of production, learning, and entrepreneurship.
29 presentations, 3 roundtables, 9 scientific posters, 6 workshops, 3 technical tours, and a poster exhibition about the conference—in addition to an exhibition at Fantastik Lab—round out the three days of this event, which will be held at ETSIADI. You can still register until next Thursday, the 25th, on the CFP website or via the link on the conference’s official website.
