New performances on campus with “El club de los poetas muertos” and the musical “Little shop of horrors”..
Theater, music and a lot of stage passion. The stage of the Aula Magna of the Gandia Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) will be filled again with Polímono. After months of rehearsals and teamwork, the group will present its two new productions open to the entire university community and the general public.
Two major events in May
The first performance of the month will be “The dead poets club”, an adaptation inspired by the well-known story about the passion for literature, freedom and the power of pursuing one’s dreams. The play can be seen on May 20 at 5:30 p.m. in the Aula Magna of the Campus of Gandia of the UPV.
A week later, the group will bring to the stage the legendary musical “Little shop of horrors”, a fun proposal that combines humor, music and unexpected situations. The date will be on May 27 at 6:30 p.m.
Much more than a theater group
Polímono is much more than a theater group: it is an authentic scenic laboratory driven by students of the Campus of Gandia of the UPV. It has room for interpretation, improvisation, musicals and artistic experimentation. A space designed to learn, create and share talent.
The group is part of Spontaneous Generation UPV and is open to the participation of students interested in the world of the performing arts, whether they have previous experience or want to get started in theater.
