Level tests

Level tests are compulsory, except for the initial levels, for all those who are enrolling for the first time, and for those who do not have a valid Language Center level test. The test will be taken on the dates indicated by the CDL, andin no case will it ensure a place in a course.. The result of the placement test is valid for one year.

In the case of being in possession of an official certificate or a level certificate issued by a language center of a Spanish University, this may replace the level test upon request to the CDL by presenting it to the secretary of the Language Center (the certificate must not be older than 18 months).

Course registration

Registration and enrollment in the courses offered by the CDL will be done online through the Permanent Training Center (PTC), which will issue the corresponding receipts. The payment of the courses will be made within the stipulated period (according to the PTC regulations). Failure to pay for the course within the corresponding deadline will result in the immediate cancellation of the registration for the course. Admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis. In the event that the groups are full, if there is a subsequent cancellation and there are vacancies in the required courses, the students on the waiting list may enroll until the date of completion of enrollment or in the event that new courses are opened. Since the number of places is limited due to pedagogical requirements, the CDL may close the enrollment period before the officially scheduled dates. If the minimum number of students required for the opening of a course is not reached, the course will be cancelled and the registration fee will be refunded to those students who have already paid the fees.

Refund of fees

Requests for refund of fees may be accepted only in the case of force majeure (medical or work-related reasons). In no case will refund requests be accepted after the first week of the course. The corresponding request, if applicable, must be formalized online through the intranet of the Center for Lifelong Learning (www.cfp.upv.es).

Certificates and exams

The calls for the courses from October to December (levels XX.1), and the intensive courses in July only entitle the student to the certificate of attendance, so there will be no final exam of the course. The February to May courses (levels XX.2), will have a final exam of the corresponding level, giving the right to a certificate of achievement. In order to obtain the certificate of achievement and/or attendance, it is mandatory to attend 80% of the total number of classes. The course grade will be calculated as follows: 80% grade obtained in the final exam 20% continuous evaluation The date of the final exam will be communicated to the students during the first weeks of the course. The exam must be taken in the group in which the student is enrolled and on the scheduled days.
