The Language Center of the UPV establishes exams to facilitate the accreditation of foreign language proficiency for the general public and members of the university community.
These certificates will be valid to accredit the knowledge of a foreign language from level A2 to C1, both in undergraduate, postgraduate, master’s degree, mobility programs, etc. of the members of the UPV University Community.
The exams will be conducted within the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and will be held at least twice a year (May and November).
The minimum age to take the exam is 16 years old.
IMPORTANT NEWS CONCERNING CertAcles CERTIFICATION TESTS
The Social Council of the UPV, in session held on November 22, 2025, approved the proposed modification of the fees for the CertAcles Proficiency Certification exams administered by the Language Center (CDL). This modification will come into effect from the May 2026 call.
The amount of the fees is modified and two possibilities of enrollment are established:
- Full tuition for the four macro-skills (speaking, writing, listening, reading and listening comprehension)
TUITION FEES:
– Fee for members of the university community:
- B2 – 88 €
- C1 – 94 €
– Fee for UPV external students:
- B2- 113 €
- C1- 120 €

*Fees will not be refunded once the registration period is over.
Once the registration period is over, the only cause for refund may be:
Medical or serious cause justified by documentary evidence on the day of the exam.
The amount to be refunded will not include UPV technical secretariat expenses..
EXAMINATION DATES:
Oral exams:
B2: to be carried out betweenMay 25 and 29, 2026.
C1 : will take place betweenMay 18 and 22, 2026.
Dates to be confirmed. Enrolled students will be notified in advance of the final date of the oral exam.
Listening, reading and writing:
B2: Saturday, May 30, 2026.
C1: Saturday, May 23, 2026.
