Dathaton 2022 Presentation

The Vice-rectorate for Sustainable Development of the Campus has participated in the Dathaton 2022 presentation sessions entitled ‘Challenges for a changing world‘.

The Datathon is a competition that begins on March 4, the day the competition will be presented, and will last until April 30, the date on which the participants will deliver their projects. In this edition, the contents and news of the Datathon are disseminated on social networks with the hashtag #ODdatathon.

People who sign up for the competition have the challenge of participating in one of the three proposed challenges:

A) On responsible production and consumption
B) Environmental aspects (agriculture, waste, energy transition…)
C) Culture

The round table was moderated by the director of the Dades Valencia Chair, Eloina Coll. It was attended by Vicente Inglada, secretary of the Union of Consumers of the Valencian Community (UCE), Sergi Pérez Serrano, manager at IVAM – Institut Valencià d ‘Art Modern and Débora Domingo Calabuig, vice-rector for Sustainable Development of the Campus at the UPV, who announced the strategic lines of the vice-rectorate office in environmental matters.

The initiative is promoted with the support of the General Directorate of Transparency, Attention to Citizenship and Good Governance of the Generalitat Valenciana through the Open Data and Transparency Observatory of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), of the Department of Legal Studies of the State from the University of Alicante (UA), from the Pagoda Chair of the University of Valencia (UV) and from the Vicerectorate Office for Research of the Miguel Hernández University (UMH). The Valencia City Council also collaborates with the Governance Chair of the city of Valencia, Dades València, the General Directorate of Industry, Energy and Mines of the Generalitat Valenciana through the UPV Energy Transition Chair and the ACICOM and Mesura associations through Càtedra Dades Obertes, Catedrades.
