The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) is the best Spanish university to study sciences and engineering, computing and communication and information technologies. This is the main conclusion of a study done by the Everis Foundation on new graduates hired by private companies in Spain during the last five years.
The second edition of this report was presented today in Madrid and UPV repeated in first place in sciences and engineering, and it spectacularly advanced in computing and ICT (from eighth place to first). This ranking also includes three other educational branches: humanities and other social sciences; health and welfare; and MBA, economics and law.
Especially good working in teams, targeting to achieve results, learning and adapting to changing environments
According to the report, graduates in computing and ICT from the UPV stand out for two main skills: their learning capacity and adaptation to the environment, and their capacity to work in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments.
Regarding engineers and scientists graduated from the UPV, companies think that they are especially good when working in teams, targeting their work to achieve results, and learning and adapting to changing environments. They also stand out for their honesty and ethical commitment, and for their ability to work in international environments.
