On October 27 and 28, 2026, Valencia will host a new edition of the NextGen Forum – Empowering the Next Generation in Plant Sciences, a Euroseeds initiative aimed at young researchers and students interested in pursuing a career in plant breeding and the seed industry. The event will be held at the Valencia Convention Center, as part of the Euroseeds Congress 2026.
The NextGen Forum is specifically intended for master’s students, PhD students, and postdocs in fields such as agriculture, plant breeding, plant genetics, and other related disciplines. The goal is to create a space where new generations and professionals in the European seed industry can come together.
During the event, participants will have the opportunity to exchange experiences and establish direct contact with professionals, breeders, technical staff, and representatives of companies and organizations in the sector, thereby opening the door to various career paths and opportunities related to plant breeding.
The initiative also aims to foster the creation of new connections between the academic and business worlds and to raise awareness of opportunities for mentoring, internships, and professional development. In this edition, Euroseeds announces three internship opportunities (internships) for participants in the NextGen Forum; selection will be based on the CVs and cover letters submitted.
