Job Description
Like HW Design LeaderIn this position, you will assume the technical direction of the design of electronic circuits for automotive lighting systems, ensuring compliance with specifications, engineering processes and quality standards typical of high-level technological projects.
You will work in a dynamic and international environment, managing design, validation, planning and coordination activities with multiple areas of the organization.
Main responsibilities
- Comply with the engineering processes and Design Rules established by Valeo.
- Plan, supervise and control activities in accordance with theProcess Development (PD) and theCLEAN Project Management (CPM).
- Ensure robust design and validation within the technical and economic objectives of the project.
- Review internal requirements, customer specifications and applicable regulations.
- Contribute to the definition of necessary resources, equipment and investments.
- Establish the breakdown of activities and ensure that project milestones are met.
- Track activities and associated expenses to ensure compliance with the budget.
- Execute or support design calculations, simulations, coding and acceptance testing.
- Apply standardization rules or justify exceptions when necessary.
- Prepare design reviews and act as technical interface with the client.
- Escalate incidents to the Product Technical Manager and other managers when appropriate.
Profile required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent training.
- Between 5 and 7 years experience in hardware design, ideally in automotive or related sectors.
- Knowledge of simulation and CAD tools (Simetrix, PSpice, Cadence…).
- Best practices and experience in EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility).
- Passion for hardware design and the automotive industry.
- Negotiation level of English (mandatory).
