On October 9, 2024, the UPV participated in the virtual symposium ‘Towards Nature-Positive Cities and Universities’ organized by the University of Western Sydney within the GISU Alliance SSR Project. The researcher and Professor Victor Gallego, from the Department of Animal Science, presented the project ‘BIO & URBE’ to be held at the Vera and Gandía campuses in the coming weeks. This project was selected and funded under the Seed Funding Initiatives call for proposals and will offer environmental education workshops (EEW) on urban biodiversity, a biodiversity assessment, and two scientific activities focused on birds (ringing) and bats (ultrasound detection and census), bringing science closer to the people.
