INNOVATE-UES (2023-2024)

IDEAS UPV participated together with theUniversity of El Salvador through its Faculties of Jurisprudence and Social Sciences and Engineering and Architecture in the INNOVATE – UES project, aimed at generating skills in social innovation and entrepreneurship. The project, framed within the cooperation agreement between the UPV, the University of El Salvador and the Spanish NGO Jóvenes hacia la Solidaridad y el Desarrollo (JOVESOLIDES), has trained 75 Salvadoran students and teachers in social innovation, in addition to laying the foundations for strengthening an entrepreneurial fabric with a social and gender focus that will sustain the initiatives in the long term. During the course of INNOVATE UES, more than 400 people have participated in the activities organized and the training provided, working to turn the Salvadoran demand for innovation and social entrepreneurship into a reality.

Main objective:Strengthening the capacities and resources of support services for entrepreneurship and social innovation of students at the University of El Salvador as a strategy to address youth unemployment and social exclusion.
