ETSIADI Photography Laboratory

The ETSIADI has a complete photography laboratory, with various sets with interchangeable backgrounds, lights, tripods, light boxes, chroma key… It is at the disposal of the teaching activities of the center.

Laboratory activity:

The laboratory activities will always be related to the teaching given at ETSIADI.

All persons accessing the ETSIADI photography laboratory are obliged to know and abide by the following regulations and protocol of use.

Access to the laboratory:

Interested teachers must reserve the space in advance from their intranet, through Monnegre.

Once the reservation has been formalized, you can ask the technician in charge of the laboratory to open it.

The technician will open the laboratory for the teacher who made the reservation. At the end of the activity, the teacher will inform the technician to check again the state of the laboratory and proceed to close it.

Material in the laboratory:

SETS:

Two independent “SETs” have been defined, each with three motorized backdrops and two support tables. The backdrops are available in green, black or white.It is NOT allowed to move the laboratory tables.

The material available in each of the “SETs” is:

  • Set of accessories for exclusive use in EL-1500 focuser
    • Small Reflector
    • Large Reflector
    • Occluder
    • Soft Box
  • Control, for vertical and horizontal spotlight illumination control.
  • EL-1500 Spotlight
  • Horizontal Focus
  • Extra Tripod
  • Vertical Focus.
  • Multi-plug extension cord located under the accessory table.

LIGHT BOXES:

There are three light boxes for detail photography for small models.

GREEN CROMA:

A large green chroma key is mounted at the left end of the laboratory. It is not removable, and care should be taken not to lean on the wall to prevent it from falling or being damaged. It can be walked on, but it must be accessed with clean shoes or barefoot, to prevent the chroma key from getting dirty after use. It is not allowed to step on the chroma key with dark rubber footwear.

Special care shall be taken not to drag any element over the chroma key, e.g. chairs, stools or any other element.

If any of the lighting elements of the photo “sets” (“SET1” or “SET2”) or any of the auxiliary accessories are used, they must be left in place after use.

Final considerations

  • The teacher who makes the reservation is responsible for the proper use of the laboratory.
  • Misuse of the laboratory will condition future bookings.
  • All materials used must remain in place after use.
  • No accessories or material shall be left in place or out of place.
  • If material in poor condition is detected, it should be reported immediately to the technician or to ETSIADI’s infrastructure subdirectorate.
  • It is not allowed to move the laboratory tables.
  • It is not allowed to dismount the spotlights from their tripods.
  • The backgrounds of the photo sets must be uploaded.
  • The power strips should be collected and left under the table after use.
  • In the absence of a lab technician, the teacher will ensure that the lab is closed after the activity.
