Exhibition “Made in Green: Women designing a healthier planet” at Tangaza College Kenya)

The exhibition presents different approaches to design that promote environmental sustainability, showing contributions by women designers to the field of eco-design, with the aim of improving and repairing the aggressions and deterioration inflicted on the natural environment.
It is an opportunity for the UPV to share this content developed for the Sala de Las Naves in Valencia capital green 2024, with the INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION of the University of Tangaza in Nairobi (Kenya).
The products shown and explained in a didactic way, have been made by designers, providing a creative approach to design with different levels of complexity, to address pressing problems arising from the consumer society, such as the depletion of raw material resources and the overwhelming amount of waste products. Proposals based on reuse, recycling, the holistic cradle-to-cradle concept, the 3Rs approach, circular economy or biophilia.
By showing these projects from a gender perspective, the objective is to endorse the construction of a design culture that embraces the incorporation of a growing number of women with their contributions.
