Exhibition

Muntadas. A Selection: Information and Documentation

From 26 November 2025 to 20 January 2026
ETSA Exhibition Hall (building 2D, ground floor) Map

Muntadas. A Selection: Information and Documentation” is an exhibition that brings together a series of conceptual stations linked to the work of Antoni Muntadas: posters, catalogues, projections, etc., spanning more than five decades.

In the early 1970s, Muntadas began working with video, photography, installation and interdisciplinary projects that questioned the logic of communication in society and contemporary issues. This period marked his commitment to art that thinks, challenges, projects and proposes.

Since then, his work has addressed, with lucidity and consistency, the relationship between power, language, information and perception. Muntadas has developed projects on every continent, always with a focus on research and collaboration. Projects such as The File Room, Political Advertisement and About Academia have become fundamental references for understanding the role of art in the dynamics of communication, collective memory and social imaginaries.

The exhibition is dedicated to Antoni Mercader, in recognition of his long collaboration with Muntadas, which spans from 1963 to 2025.
