From campus to the world

My name is Daniel Burruchaga Sola. I studied the Degree in Interactive Technologies at the Campus of Gandia of the Universitat Politècnica de València and I currently work as a consultant at Telefónica. In addition, I run my own company, Ysolve Technological Solutions S.L. where I apply everything I learn in my daily work, developing technological solutions to solve real business problems.

What do you remember about your time at the UPV Gandia Campus? What was the most rewarding part of your study years? And the most challenging?

I remember many long nights of study, intense afternoons of work and mornings of classes, since I combined studies with work. The most rewarding were the projects of each term, those in which we had to analyze a specific problem and think how to solve it through technology. It was very motivating to see how, from a real need, a solution emerged and how you developed it step by step. As for the most challenging part, it was precisely that constant demand to learn, organize time and carry out the projects that made me grow the most during the academic stage.

What motivated you to choose the Gandia Campus?

I got to know the Gandia Campus thanks to a former boss, Vicente Marín, from the company Tecnosel in Xirivella, where I did the dual FP in Electronics. His recommendation was key to my interest in this training and finally I decided to choose the Gandia Campus.

What skills are crucial in your day-to-day work?

With the implementation of artificial intelligence, the skills required have evolved. It is no longer just a matter of coming up with a solution and programming it, but of understanding in depth how each process works, choosing the most appropriate architecture, being able to navigate between servers, deploying services and maintaining fluid communication with both clients and the team. Every day involves making important technical and strategic decisions.

What would you recommend to someone who wants to follow in your footsteps?

The first thing is to study and train well. And the last – and most important – is to never stop learning.
