Exhibitions, round tables, theater, live podcasts and a solidarity fair make up the activities planned from April 20 to 30.
An exhibition on books that have been adapted to the big screen, the live recording of a podcast dedicated to literature, a discussion on the creation of content in Valencian and a book fair in solidarity are some of the activities that will take place activities programmed on the occasion of the celebration of the Week of the Book and for the Language in the Campus of Gandia of the Universitat Politècnica de València.
From April 20 to 30, the foyer of the Library will be the venue for the exhibition Film readings a selection of literary works that have been taken to the big screen, available both in print and audiovisual format at the UPV Libraries. The proposal invites the public to discover the connections between literature and the seventh art.
On Tuesday, April 21, there will be around table on the creation of content in Valencian moderated by Raúl Terol, professor of Audiovisual Communication, and with the participation of Cristian H. Llorens, author of the book Valencianitat for the curious and Ana Gisbert. Both are presenters of the podcast The dolcet pal coffee and alumni of the campus. The activity will take place at 12:30 p.m. in the conference room.
On Thursday, April 23, coinciding with Book Day, a large part of the program will be concentrated. The Library will offer a free gift to its patrons and the theater group Polímono will represent The dead poets club a recital combining poetry and stage performance, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in the campus Agora.
At 12:30 p.m., a live recording of a special episode of the podcast Tsundoku dedicated to literature. In addition, between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., the Ágora of the campus will host the Solidarity Book Fair where books can be purchased in exchange for a contribution, as well as teaching materials in Valencian.
The day will be completed with a special talk by BiblioClub EPSG at 5:30 p.m., in the multipurpose room of the CRAI.
In addition, during the entire month of April, the CineClub has programmed a special cycle dedicated to literary adaptations. The screenings will take place at 8:45 p.m. in Room 16 of Building A and include the following titles: Bloody frenzy (April 16), The incredible but true story of Little Red Riding Hood (April 21), The Passion of Joan of Arc (April 23) and Alice (April 30).
From April 20 to 30, 2026, the Gandia Campus of the UPV celebrates the Week of the Book and for the Language, an initiative that combines literature, cinema and promotion of Valencian with a wide cultural program open to the public.
