The Tabarca laboratory is an extension of the department at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería del Diseño (ETSID). It is equipped with 20 workstations, each with a computer and a programmable automaton. In this laboratory, future graduates in mechanical, electrical, automatic, electronic and aerospace engineering, perform practices related to process automation, system simulation, etc. Industrial models (packaging plant, assembly plant and sorting plant) are available for the practice lab sessions.
The computers have software (Matlab) for programming control systems as well as additional software (PL7) for automaton programming.
The laboratory is located on the third floor of the north wing of building 7E (DISA – ETSID).
