The waste we generate
Our commitment
- Minimize the amount of waste generated by adopting reduction or reuse techniques.
- Provide adequate containers for the correct selective collection of waste.
- Ensure proper segregation, labeling and storage of all waste.
- Ensure that all companies that take waste from the UPV are authorized to do so by the competent administration.
- To adequately monitor the waste we generate using representative indicators.
We make it easy for you
The UPV has an abundant supply of garbage cans distributed inside the buildings and in the outdoor areas of the campuses. In these garbage cans you can deposit the most common waste (paper and cardboard, light packaging, non-recyclable waste and even organic waste).

Waste management guide
You have at your disposal containers for all types of waste, but if the problem is that you do not know in which container you should deposit your waste, do not hesitate to consult our Waste Management Guide.
And if after that you still don’t know where it goes, please contact us, we will do our best to clarify your doubts.

Find your nearest container
The UPV has waste collection areas, inside and outside the buildings, where you can find larger containers or containers for less common waste (electrical and electronic equipment, batteries, ink cartridges and toner). To find out which one is closest to you, please use our search engine
