Carbon footprint 2023
3.256,59
tCO2eq for scopes 1 + 2
The 2023 Carbon Footprint has been reduced by 10.95% compared to 2022, thus consolidating the annual downward trend since 2014. However, the average emissions for the 2020-2022 three-year period, which was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, have been exceeded, which has prevented the company from obtaining the “Reduzco” seal.
0,07
tCO2eq per person
The carbon footprint per person has decreased by 15.31% compared to the previous year, with significant reductions on the Vera campus and especially on the Gandia campus, although they have been moderated by the increased on the Alcoy campus.
294,35
tCO2eq at Alcoi
Total emissions have increased by 16.66% compared to the previous year. The carbon footprint per person also increased, although to a lesser extent, by only 7%. This increase is due to both refrigerant gas leaks for air conditioning and fuel consumption.
69,73
tCO2eq at Gandia
A 25.79% reduction in total tons was observed compared to the previous year, reaching 27.09% in the case of the carbon footprint per person. Since the main source of emissions is leaked refrigerant gases, the data show the sound management being carried out in this regard.
2.892,52
tCO2eq at Vera
A 12.55% reduction in total emissions compared to the previous year was observed, while emissions per person reached a reduction of 16.74%. Despite these positive results, which consolidate the annual downward trend, further work is needed to control fugitive emissions resulting from refrigerant gas leaks.
