The workshop on writing and distributing press releases, led by Ana Cebrián, was very well received

On September 29, 2026, a hands-on workshop on writing and distributing press releases took place in Classroom AM1. The workshop was led by journalist Ana Cebrián as part of the MUSMCC Master’s program’s training curriculum. The event was a resounding success in terms of attendance and student participation. Students had the opportunity to learn key methodological approaches and strategic tools for writing effective press releases, structuring content with high informational value, and optimizing relationships with the media in today’s digital environment.

During the session, Cebrián—a professional with a solid track record in news writing, press offices, and corporate reputation management—offered a highly practical perspective on the real demands and dynamics of contemporary newsrooms. Throughout the workshop, the students worked on identifying news hooks, using effective narrative structures, and applying techniques to capture journalists’ interest in an information-saturated ecosystem.

Commitment to Excellence and Employability

This workshop was conducted in a manner that successfully met the guidelines established in the UPV SIRVE Strategic Plan, reaffirming the Universitat Politècnica de València’s commitment to practical training, the transfer of high-impact applied knowledge, and teaching excellence focused on students’ employability and professional development.

With this event, the MUSMCC Master’s Program further strengthens its offerings of specialized seminars designed to bridge the gap between academic training and real-world professional practice in the communications sector.
