Visit to Iberflora 2026 as part of the Ornamental Plant Breeding course

The next Wednesday, October 7, 2026, the second-year students at the Master’s Degree in Plant Breeding (MMGV) will make an educational visit to Iberflora 2026, at Feria Valencia, as part of the course Ornamental Plants Breeding.

The visit, scheduled for 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., will allow students to supplement the material covered in the course and gain direct exposure to the professional realities of the ornamental plant sector.

Iberflora is celebrating its 55th edition and is one of the leading professional gathering places for the green sector in Europe. The International Plant and Flower, Landscaping, Technology, and DIY Gardening Fair brings together nurseries, growers, and related companies in fields such as ornamental plant production, technology, gardening, and landscaping.

During the event, students will have the opportunity to experience firsthand new varieties, products, technologies, and trends in the industry, as well as the opportunity to connect with companies and professionals involved in the production and marketing of ornamental plants. The fair also features a program of professional activities focused on innovation, knowledge, and networking among the various stakeholders in the sector.

The activity will thus contribute to connect the knowledge acquired in the classroom with its application in the professional world, offering students an up-to-date perspective on innovation and current trends in the ornamental sector.
