Power Electronics Training and Professional Development Seminar

The Master’s Degree in Electronic Systems Engineering (MUISE) organizes a training activity aimed at reinforcing both the technical competencies and professional skills of the power electronics engineer profile. This initiative combines specialized training, direct contact with the industrial environment and guidance for career development.


📌 Course description.

It is a comprehensive training that includes atechnical seminar on power electronicsaproduction plant visit in Celestica and apresentation on personal and professional development. The objective is to provide a complete vision that connects theoretical knowledge with its practical application in the industry, as well as to help students define and orient their professional future.

🔧 Technical seminar:Analysis of power electronics components and equipment

  • Review and analysis of current semiconductors and packages
    • High power semiconductors
    • Semiconductors optimized for specific applications
  • Identification of small power equipment
    • DC/DC sources
    • EC Fans
    • AC/DC Sources
    • Power stacks
  • Analysis and measurement of AC/DC sources
    • Component identification
    • Identification of topologies
    • Performing measurements on equipment in operation

🏭 Visit to the production plant (Celestica)

Students will have the opportunity to learn first-hand about the industrial environment and the processes associated with the manufacture of complex electronic systems:

  • Electronics manufacturing process
  • Tour of Celestica’s production facilities (La Pobla de Vallbona)
  • Manufacturing processes and techniques
  • Production and prototyping equipment
  • Quality control
  • Importance of end-of-line tests

It will be shown how, while prototyping may be affordable, mass production of reliable products is a considerable technological challenge.
