Conference on the Local Learning Studio Project with Anna Rubbo

As part of the academic activities of the Higher Technical School of Architecture (ETSA) for the Master’s Degree in Habitat Innovation (muHab), we hosted a visit and lecture by Anna Rubbo, a researcher at the Center for Sustainable Urban Development (CSUD) at the Columbia Climate School (New York).

The presenter introduced the overall project Local Learning Studio (LLS), an initiative led in collaboration with the Royal Danish Academy and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. This international network focuses its work on integrating and adapting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into teaching, research, and community practice related to the built environment.

During the session, the students and faculty had the opportunity to learn about this teaching methodology firsthand and explore its tools Global Resource Hub and to learn about ways to participate in the project. We shared some of our experiences at the UPV, which have been incorporated into the platform. https://locallearningstudio.org/resources/

This activity is part of the master’s program’s educational activities focused on experiential learning and is aligned with the UPV SIRVE Strategic Plan, fostering connections between universities, businesses, and society, as well as the development of practical skills in real-world settings.
