EXHIBITION! COMMUNITIES OF THE FUTURE
December 18 at 16.00h
North Hall – ETSA UPV
Master of Innovation in the Habitat – muHab
The first semester of muHAB aims to test architectural strategies for a possible urban future under climate stress in the Mediterranean Arc.
As a phase of analysis prior to the project work, we revisit some of the paradigmatic examples of a developmental Spain that, with passive strategies and very low resources, already faced the need to inhabit a warm and dry climate in the southern part of its Mediterranean coast. We adopt a post-occupational perspective and a speculative method:
How are the spaces that were designed and built in the 1960s and 1970s lived in today, and how would they function in a future heat stress scenario?
This exhibition, curated by the student body, shows the results of our analysis, prior to the project exercise.
