The admission requirements for this degree are those generally established in Royal Decree 822/2021, as worded in its Article 18. Likewise, the regulations on Pre-enrolment and Admission to official master’s degree studies at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) are also applicable.
Regulations on Pre-enrolment and Admission to Master’s Degrees
General admission requirements for Official Master’s Degrees at the UPV
The specific requirements and assessment criteria for this official master’s degree have been defined in accordance with the provisions of Article 5.2 of the UPV’s own regulations on Pre-enrolment and Admission to official master’s degree studies, in order to guarantee equal opportunities of access to education for students who meet the access conditions.
The criteria are transparent and objective and make it possible to select, from among the students who apply, those who are most qualified on the basis of their academic record and accredited merits, under conditions that allow comparison of such records and merits. Admission to this master’s degree will not, under any circumstances, entail any modification of the academic and, where applicable, professional effects corresponding to the previous degree held by the applicant, nor its recognition for any purpose other than undertaking master’s studies.
Specific admission requirements for the Official Master’s Degree
The Academic Committee of the Degree is the body responsible for establishing the assessment criteria to be applied in order to determine the order of priority in the allocation of places, in accordance with the UPV’s own regulations on Pre-enrolment and Admission to official master’s degree studies and following the guidelines issued by the Vice-Rectorate responsible for student affairs.
The composition of the Academic Committee of the Degree is regulated in Article 4.2 of the Regulations on the Academic System and Assessment of Students.

Admission of students with disabilities
For students with specific educational needs arising from a disability, appropriate support and advisory services will be put in place to assess the need for curricular adaptations, alternative pathways or alternative studies, through the support of the UPV’s CEDAT Foundation.
The UPV’s CEDAT Foundation provides information and advice to members of the university community with disabilities, as well as classroom support and accompaniment. It also provides technical study aids to those students who require them due to their special educational needs. In addition, it promotes and manages training and employment initiatives for this group, both within and outside the UPV campuses, and offers various services through its Special Employment Centre.
Likewise, the foundation carries out projects for the removal of architectural and urban barriers, comprehensive accessibility plans, accessibility audits, project review, and advice and design of ideal accessibility models.

Admission criteria
The admission criteria and their weighting in the scoring system are as follows:
A
Assessment of the academic record
In the case of academic records graded on scales different from those indicated in RD 1125/2003, the applicant will be required to provide a statement of equivalence of average grades for university studies completed at foreign institutions, issued by the Ministry responsible for Universities. Applicants who do not provide this document will be assigned a 5 as their average access grade. This variable will account for 50% of the total score.
B
Correspondence between the competences of the access degree and those of the Reference Degree
This variable will account for 40% of the total score.
C
Curriculum Vitae
This variable will account for 10% of the total score.
Applicants will be admitted in strict order of priority until all available places have been allocated. If any admitted applicants withdraw, and provided there are applications on the waiting list, the vacancies will be filled until all places are taken or the waiting list is exhausted, following the order of priority established above.
Specific entrance tests or particular admission criteria
- Since teaching is delivered in Spanish, and in order to ensure that students are able to follow all the learning activities, applicants from non-Spanish-speaking countries will be required, for admission, to accredit a level equivalent to B2 in Spanish or B2 in English, if the degree offers a track in that language.
- The list of certificates accepted by the Universitat Politècnica de València for accrediting the foreign language proficiency requirement is that which appears in the updated table of certificates recognised by ACLES (Association of Language Centres in Higher Education in Spain).
- Students who have completed their studies in educational systems that use Spanish as the language of instruction will be exempt from this accreditation.
- Apart from the above requirement, no access or bridging courses, transition programmes or access prerequisites are envisaged.
Grants and scholarships
Studies leading to an official university degree give access to grants and financial aid. The Ministry responsible for education, the Generalitat Valenciana and the Universitat Politècnica de València itself offer different grants and aid programmes.

General grants for students undertaking post-compulsory studies valid throughout Spain.
