UPV talent leads the Open Innovation Competition 2026

ThePolytechnic University of Valencia has consolidated its position as the epicenter of national scientific entrepreneurship after the recent closing of theOpen Innovation Competition 2026. The event, which brought together the 15 best teams selected from hundreds of entries from all over the country, was notable for the majority presence of UPV students in all the winning groups.

Outstanding projects and track record:

  • Estrella Award for Best Project: Awarded toKyobaca proposal focused on the development of a postbiotic for mental health in which the talent of ADE of the UPV participates.
  • Sustainability Award: For the teamMasRumThe company is made up entirely of in-house biotechnologists.
  • Health Award: Achieved byBRAIN (Barrier Response AI Network), a multidisciplinary team integrating biomedical engineering and computer science.
  • Penguin Award for Entrepreneurial Attitude: Recognition awarded toPhagESKAPE for its great capacity for initiative and resolution.
