The Water Economics, Management and Governance Group analyzes irrigated agriculture and Mediterranean agrosystems from an interdisciplinary perspective. It combines approaches from economics, institutional analysis, and political ecology to promote water management that is sustainable, resilient, and socially equitable.
The Unit works closely with researchers from other centers at the Universitat Politècnica de València and has a long-standing history of cooperation with national and international research centers, particularly in Europe and the Maghreb. This cooperation facilitates exchanges involving researchers and students at the predoctoral and postdoctoral stages.
