Five final-year projects from the Bachelor’s degree program in Design and Creative Technologies were named finalists, and a master’s thesis from the Master’s degree program in Artistic Production won a Silver ADCV Award
The School of Fine Arts at the Polytechnic University of Valencia is celebrating the recognition received by several of its alumni at the 2026 ADCV Awards, the biennial competition organized by the Association of Design Professionals of the Valencian Community (ADCV).
Founded in 1985, the ADCV is a leading organization dedicated to the defense, promotion, and dissemination of Valencian design. Through its awards, it recognizes projects that stand out for their excellence, innovation, and impact, helping to highlight the creative talent of the Valencian Community and to consolidate the role of design as a tool for social, cultural, and economic transformation.
In this edition, six projects developed by graduates of the School of Fine Arts have been recognized in the student category: Five final projects from the Bachelor’s degree in Design and Creative Technologies have been selected as finalists, and one final project from the Master’s degree in Artistic Production has won a Silver ADCV Award.
The finalist projects for the degree in Design and Creative Technologies were:
- Graphic communication campaign for the Moors and Christians Festival in Ontinyent, by Marta Aniceto, under the guidance of Álvaro Sanchis. The project proposes a contemporary visual identity capable of engaging with the festival’s tradition through a flexible graphic system inspired by textiles, music, and movement.
- Dormi. A sleep app for students, by Estrella Gracia, mentored by Álvaro Sanchis. The project aims to improve college students’ sleep habits through a mobile app focused on health and well-being.
- Capicúa. A card game for children with visual impairments, by Irene Lafuente, supervised by María Ángeles Parejo Sánchez. It is an inclusive educational tool developed using accessible design principles, incorporating Braille, raised print, and tactile elements to promote learning and participation.
- “Traumablog,” by Eli Muba, mentored by Melani Lleonart. The project explores violence in intimate relationships through an autoethnographic publication that combines testimonies, critical reflection, and experimental editorial design.
- *Mujeres Libres*, by Maria Valls, supervised by Ángel Manuel Rodríguez Arias and Juan Bautista Peiró López. This project revives and updates the visual legacy of the organization Mujeres Libres by developing a digital typeface based on a historic poster from 1937.
Meanwhile, *Barona City: Stories from the Periphery* by Víctor Martín Navarro has been awarded a Silver ADCV Prize. Developed as a Master’s thesis for the Master’s Degree in Artistic Production under the supervision of Melani Lleonart, the project combines research, editorial design, documentary photography, and citizen participation to explore the historical memory and contemporary reality of the Orriols neighborhood from a critical and social perspective.
The recognized projects address issues as diverse as health and well-being, inclusion, historical memory, cultural identity, violence in intimate relationships, and the collective shaping of the city. Whether in the fields of graphic, editorial, typographic, or product design, these proposals demonstrate design’s ability to spark reflection, shed light on social issues, and contribute to the development of new forms of knowledge and participation.

Their presence at the ADCV Awards highlights the talent, commitment, and ability of our graduates to contribute, from various disciplines and perspectives, to the contemporary creative and cultural landscape.
