Presentation of the degree

The energy industry, in its multiple facets related to the production, transportation, distribution and use of energy, is currently one of the most important and fastest growing technological fields and one of the strategic sectors for the future development of society. Energy engineering is part of the industrial branch and, basically, the one that deals with the design and management of energy facilities and their components to streamline available resources, making the best use of renewable energy sources and minimize their impact on the environment.

Career opportunities

You can work in companies (production, transportation and distribution, audit, optimization and energy management or design, project, implementation and maintenance of energy facilities or those that, due to their high consumption, manage their own energy system) and in public bodies in the field of energy.

International mobility and internships

You can take a semester in universities from over 30 countries with which the School have signed academic exchange agreements, or take a semester in another Spanish university.

You will have the chance to carry out professional internships in any of the many private and public companies and institutions with which the School has signed agreements, often aimed at completing your final degree project.

Further studies

With this degree you can access the Master's Degree in Energy Technology for Sustainable Development and also the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, which enables the pursue of the profession of Energy Engineer.

Furthermore, the following master's degrees are available at the UPV: Industrial Safety and the Environment;Systems for a Sustainable Mobility; Maintenance Engineering; Hydraulic Engineering and the Environment; Sustainable Chemistry, and Electronic Systems Engineering or you may also request access to any university master's degree at the UPV with the required complementary training.
