The Language Week begins with a multilingual dubbing workshop on Monday 5 at Gandia University Campus. It consists of interactive practice activities using texts and film footage, cartoons and documentaries. This workshop, organised by Francesc Fenollosa i Ten (actor, dubber, and dubbing director), has become one of the most popular in the field of language promotion. It will be held again at the University Campus of Alcoy on Thursday, May 13.

One of the highlights of the Week will be held this year on Tuesday, May 6, at 8 pm: the concert of pop-rock group Els Catarres, who were awarded five prizes at Enderrock 2014─one for the best song "Vull estar amb tu" ("I want to be with you")─in addition to their 15,000 albums sold, nearly 100,000 downloads, and almost 23,000 followers on Twitter.

On Thursday, May 8, also at the University Vera Campus, there will be the Literary Lunch: Estellés and other authors─consisting of typical dishes like “arròs al forn” (baked rice), “esgarrat”, salad, and desserts─including the reading in Valencian, by those participating, of a poem, a verse or prose paragraph by Vicent Andrés Estellés and other contemporary and classical writers, such as Joan Rois de Corella, in the “Year of Rois de Corellar”.

On Thursday May 8 at 7.30 pm, at the Gandia University Campus, and on Wednesday May 14 at 8 pm, at the Alcoy University Campus, Andreu Valor will give a public performance of his disc Malgrat la pluja (Despite the rain). Valor, one of the reputable Valencian songwriters, has released three albums.

And on Thursday May 8 at 8 pm, at the Alcoy University Campus, Jordi Gil & Munchaüsen Band will give a concert.

As in previous years, at the Alcoy University Campus, there will also be a collective poetry reading run by the Alcoy Senior UPV University. This event, just one of the rewarding experiences organised by this group, will be held this year on Friday May 9.
