The Universitat Politècnica de València expands its range of Bachelor's and Double Bachelor's Degrees for the 2025-2026 academic year

Still don't know what you're going to study? The Universitat Politècnica de València is expanding its range of Bachelor's and Double Bachelor's Degrees for the next academic year with 5 degrees designed to respond to the great technological, environmental and social challenges of the 21st century.
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering: Mitigating climate change and preventing natural disasters
The School of Civil Engineering is launching a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering next year, with 65 seats available. The aim is to understand all the processes (physical, chemical, biological, ecological, soil science, economic, social, etc.) that take place in the interaction between human beings and the environment. The aim is to prevent and mitigate pollution, characterise the effects of global change and its relationship with the evaluation of risks and natural disasters, and address sustainable management of ecosystems.
Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence: Transforming the world with artificial intelligence
The Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence will be offered at the UPV in two locations from the 2025-26 academic year: it will be possible to study both on the campus of Vera (75 seats) and on the campus of Alcoy (also 75 seats). It is a degree that trains professionals to offer innovative solutions, intelligent services and valuable developments based on AI in the field of information technology. The impact on society is so great that there is no social or economic sphere to which it is indifferent, generating a wide range of job opportunities in sectors such as finance, administration, transport, entertainment, health, etc. Both nationally and internationally, commitment to AI is very significant. The EU has funded research and innovation in AI and related areas through the Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe (2021-2027) and Digital Europe programmes, investing 1 billion euros annually.
Bachelor's Double Degree in Biotechnology + Chemistry: Successful degree package
It will be taught at the School of Agricultural and Natural Environment Engineering on the Vera campus, and 25 seats will be offered. The Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology at the UPV is ranked number 1 in Spain, and the demand for chemistry professionals by industry is very high, with more than 600 companies in the sector. Chemistry is fundamental in the research and development of new materials, medicines, and chemical products, which contribute to the improvement of people's quality of life and technological progress. Together, the two degrees become an unbeatable option, with expanded horizons. The employment generated in both sectors is of a high quality in terms of salary and stability.
Bachelor's Double Degree in Chemical Engineering + Textile Technology and Design Engineering: New profiles for textile design and manufacturing
The course will be taught at the Higher Polytechnic School of Alcoy, and 25 seats will be offered, of which 12 may be for dual training. The Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering provides access to positions of responsibility in petrochemicals, plastics, fertilisers, dyes, or related sectors: environmental, biotechnological, food and pharmaceutical. And, in the textile sector, graduates will be able to work in design, management, commercial organisation and management in textile companies with their own technology and in their innovation and development departments; or in design, manufacturing and marketing companies in the sector. This pack of degrees is studied in 5 courses and qualifies to exercise the regulated profession of industrial technical engineer.
Bachelor's Double Degree in Environmental Sciences + Marine Sciences and Technologies: Specialists in seas and oceans
This double degree will be taught at the Higher Polytechnic School of Gandia. It will have 50 seats available for new students for a comprehensive education on the oceans, using the most advanced tools and technologies of the 21st century. It will allow for in-depth study in four major areas of knowledge about the marine and coastal environment: oceanography, marine technologies and biotechnologies, the conservation and sustainable management of marine resources, and the effects of climate change. The 60 coastal municipalities, which make up 14% of the surface area of the Valencian Community, are home to 53% of the population, a figure that rises to over 81% when the 100-metre elevation mark is considered. Over 20% of the coastline is protected by environmental legislation.
