Description of the degree

The Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Technologies (MUTAV) aims to provide advanced and specialized training in technologies such as artificial intelligence, software development and immersive systems in the audiovisual field, preparing students to bring added value to companies in the sector.

Training is offered in different technologies applied to the audiovisual sector: machine and deep learning techniques in audiovisual systems, generative tools, environments for the development of multiplatform multimedia applications, cloud computing services, participation in audiovisual projects, rapid application prototyping, design and creation of immersive experiences, use of graphics engines.

This training enables graduates to adapt to market demands in the audiovisual sector and to the technological innovations that will emerge in the coming years.

Objectives of the degree

The main objective of the Master’s is to provide specialized and advanced training in Audiovisual Technologies that enables students to join companies in the audiovisual sector. More specifically, the following specific objectives can be detailed:

Provide up-to-date knowledge of the technologies required for the development of complex technological solutions in the audiovisual sector: artificial intelligence, software development and immersive systems.

Train professionals capable of applying machine learning and generative artificial intelligence techniques to solve specific problems in audiovisual projects.

Enable students to handle environments for the development of multiplatform applications for scalable and efficient audiovisual systems, making use of cloud computing services.

Provide the foundations for the design and development of immersive and interactive audiovisual experiences using graphics engines.

Enable students to develop complex professional audiovisual projects that combine and integrate different technologies, such as artificial intelligence, software development and immersive systems.

Career opportunities

The audiovisual sector demands highly qualified professionals with advanced technological knowledge in areas such as artificial intelligence, software development and immersive systems.

The graduate profiles of this Master’s are focused on work within the framework of complex audiovisual projects where the use and integration of these technologies is required. Graduates will be able to take on, among others, tasks such as:

  • Use of sound, image and video technologies.
  • Planning, deployment and management of applications and databases for audiovisual systems.
  • Implementation of video and audio streaming platforms; development of software and audiovisual and multimedia content applications for desktop, mobile and web.
  • Development of three-dimensional and interactive environments for immersive systems.
  • Design and implementation of immersive solutions based on technologies such as extended reality, volumetric video and virtual sets.
  • Use of machine learning and generative artificial intelligence for problem solving and content generation in audiovisual systems.
  • User experience analysis in audiovisual systems.
  • Participation in digital and multimedia projects.
