The students of the Master’s Degree in Industrial Safety (MUSI) have recently completed two of the computer sessions of the subject Integrated and Sustainable Management of Industrial Processes focused on the analysis and management of environmental risks, tutored by the external lecturer Inés Picazo. Inés Picazo is a highly qualified professional who works as Head of Environment and Sustainability at the Sagunto regasification plant (Saggas).
One of the practical sessions has been focused on the Environmental Risk Analysis (ARMA). The students worked on the identification, evaluation and assessment of possible environmental risk scenarios associated with industrial activities, applying methodologies and technical evaluation tools.
The other practical session has focused on the Environmental Responsibility Offering Model (MORA). The students have used the tool SIRMA-MORA of the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge for the estimation of financial guarantees and the practical application of environmental responsibility models, acquiring key competences for prevention, management and regulatory compliance in the field of industrial and environmental safety.
The Master’s Degree in Industrial Safety is committed to the quality training of its students and includes various actions aimed at enriching the theoretical and practical training given in the classroom. The participation in formal teaching by external professionals is part of the DINT 26 grants awarded by the Vice-rectorate for Planning, Studies, Quality and Accreditation of the UPV and belongs to the UPV SIRVE Strategic Plan.
