Practical application of industrial safety regulations through the design of real industrial facilities: Practicum 1.

12-5-2026

In the optional subject of Practicum 1, the students develop for 8 weeks an applied project based on the design of an industrial plant real, in which different industrial safety regulations are integrated and applied simultaneously. This exercise allows a global approach to the regulatory compliance seen in the first four-month period, analyzing technical, legal and safety requirements associated with different areas of the installation. The project is carried out under the supervision of the external professor.José Serer Operations Director of Mazel Asistencia Industrial, and the lecturer Carlos Caro. Through this practical approach, students acquire key skills for the interpretation and coordinated application of current regulations, reproducing real engineering situations and reinforcing their ability to design safe and legally compliant solutions in complex industrial environments.

Master students give their opinion:“It is the course in which I have learned the most. Applying the contents to an existing installation is what helps the most to understand the knowledge and its practical application, “The proposed exercises, the quality of the teaching and the follow-up of the proposals made have been more than adequate. Very good teachers and a high quality subject matter.“.

The Master’s Degree in Industrial Safety is committed to the quality training of its students.and includes various actions aimed at enriching the theoretical and practical training given in the classroom. The participation in formal teaching by external professionals is part of the DINT 26 grants awarded by the Vice-rectorate for Planning, Studies, Quality and Accreditation of the UPV and belongs to the UPV SIRVE Strategic Plan.
