The Master’s Degree in Electronic Systems Engineering (MUISE) organizes the seminar entitled“Use of WBG devices in high-efficiency industrial power systems.”which will take place onJune 9 in the7F basement classroom.
The seminar will be given by ProfessorVicente Esteve GómezUniversity Professor of the Department of Electronic Engineering of theUniversity of Valencia and director of the research groupLEII. He has more than 40 years of experience in power electronics, especially in industrial systems and converters for induction heating applications. He also works closely with companies such asSiCtech Induction yV2C.
📅 Seminar contents
The seminar introduces students to thehigh-efficiency power electronicsThe use of high-frequency converters based on advancedbroadband gap (WBG)asSiC MOSFETs and GaN FETs.
Agenda:
- Introduction
- Industrial power systems. Induction heating converters
- High frequency and high efficiency systems
- Advanced WBG devices: SiC MOSFETs and GaN FETs
- Reliability of systems with WBG devices
The seminar will conclude with asimulation practice using PSIMThis will allow attendees to apply the concepts covered in a realistic environment.
This seminar is an excellent opportunity to learn first-hand about the most advanced technologies in power electronics and their application in high efficiency industrial environments. The seminar has been funded by the SIRVE project of the UPV.
