As part of the academic activities of the Higher Technical School of Architecture (ETSA) for the Master’s Degree in Habitat Innovation (muHab) and the Master’s Degree in Urban Planning and Landscape Architecture (muP+U), we will be hosting a visit and lecture by Anna Rubbo, a researcher at the Center for Sustainable Urban Development (CSUD) at the Columbia Climate School (New York).
The speaker will present the global project Local Learning Studio (LLS), an initiative led in collaboration with the Royal Danish Academy and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. This international network focuses its work on integrating and adapting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into teaching, research, and community practice related to the built environment.
During the session, students and faculty will have the opportunity to learn about this teaching methodology firsthand and explore its tools Global Resource Hub and learn about ways to participate in the project. The LLS experience is being shared following an international call for proposals that brought together initiatives from 23 countries and its recent presentation at international forums such as the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku and the UIA World Congress of Architects in Barcelona.
