Patricia Muñiz shared her knowledge of emergency architecture, as she specializes in housing solutions for contexts of crisis and forced displacement. Her doctoral thesis, focused on theprefabricated housing in transitional shelter processes for refugees and internally displaced persons in countries such as Haiti, Japan and Syria (2010-2016), constitutes one of the most relevant academic contributions in this field. In addition to his research work, his collaboration with international NGOs in the creation of housing for refugees in places like Lebanon, Jordan, Greece or Mozambique reinforces his practical commitment to improving living conditions in emergency situations, combining architectural innovation, sustainability and human approach in each intervention.
