Throughout the sessions, which will be held on March 24, April 14 and 28, and May 12 and 26, topics such as industrialized construction and flexibility, inhabiting diversity, tools for climate adaptation, collective intermediate spaces and the analysis of habitat in the 21st century will be discussed;
03/24/26 Housing and Technology: Industrialized Construction and Flexibility
04/14/26 Housing and Society: Inhabiting Diversity
04/28/26 Housing and Environment: Tools for inhabiting the climate
12/05/26 Housing and the City: Collective Intermediate Spaces
26/05/26 Habitat analysis in the 21st century.
The first session provided an understanding of how the type and degree of industrialization influences the configuration of the dwelling, paying special attention to the identification of variable elements versus the standardized components that make up the rigid support, as well as to issues such as structural spans, materiality and manufacturing, transport and assembly processes.
The day led to a classroom debate on the real possibilities of adapting contemporary housing, leaving open a key question for collective reflection: in what way can the construction system favor or limit the flexibility of housing?
This trip is part of the master’s program’s experiential learning activities and aligns with the UPV SIRVE Strategic Plan, fostering connections among the university, business, and society, as well as the development of practical skills in real-world settings.
