As part of the Master’s Degree Program in Innovation in the Built Environment (muHAB), Eva Álvarez, who teaches the course “Social Sustainability I,” along with Carlos Gómez, a professor of the same course, have organized a conference on Daniel Fügenschuh, architect and president of the Architects’ Council of Europe (ACE), titled Form Follows Transformation.
The conference will address the current challenges facing European architecture, with a special focus on the transformation and rehabilitation of the existing building stock, housing policies, and social and environmental sustainability. Initiatives promoted by the Architects’ Council of Europe and their relationship to the New European Bauhaus, reflecting on the role of architecture in adapting existing buildings and improving living conditions.
This activity is part of the master’s program’s educational activities focused on experiential learning and is aligned with the UPV SIRVE Strategic Plan, fostering connections between universities, professionals, and European institutions, as well as raising awareness of strategies for addressing the current challenges facing the built environment.
