Admission requirements

In general, applicants must hold a university degree of at least 180 ECTS in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering or a related field, and must also prove a minimum English level of B2.

Admission in the case of students with disabilities

For students with specific educational needs arising from a disability, appropriate support and guidance services will be provided to assess the need for curricular adaptations, alternative pathways or alternative studies, through the support of the UPV CEDAT Foundation.

The UPV CEDAT Foundation provides information and advice to members of the university community with disabilities, as well as classroom support and accompaniment. It also provides technical aids for study to those students who require them due to their special educational needs. In addition, it promotes and manages training and employment initiatives for this group, both inside and outside the UPV campuses, and offers various services through its Special Employment Centre.

Likewise, the foundation carries out projects for the elimination of architectural and urban barriers, comprehensive accessibility plans, accessibility audits, project reviews, consultancy and the design of ideal accessibility models.

Scholarships

Studies leading to an official university degree allow access to scholarships and grants. The Ministry responsible for education, the Generalitat Valenciana and the Universitat Politècnica de València itself offer different scholarships and grants.

General scholarships for students taking post-compulsory studies valid throughout the national territory. The scholarship will consist of exemption from payment of fees for university academic services (tuition fees) corresponding to subjects enrolled for the first time. Other fixed and variable amounts may also be awarded, provided that the established requirements are met.

To be awarded the scholarship, it is necessary to prove administrative residence in the Comunitat Valenciana and not exceed the income thresholds established in the call, as well as to meet the general and academic requirements. The scholarship consists of exemption from payment of fees for university academic services (tuition fees) for subjects enrolled for the first and second time.

The Universitat Politècnica de València offers various scholarships or grants such as social action grants, meal grants or training collaboration scholarships. There are also grants for athletes.

This link brings together all kinds of calls for undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students: mobility grants, collaboration scholarships, research grants, internship grants, grants for taking courses, and more.

EESIC scholarships

The EESIC offers Erasmus Mundus scholarships for the best international academic records, with an amount of €1,400 per month for a maximum of 24 months and full exemption from tuition fees and other compulsory programme costs. In addition, the highest-ranked applicants who do not obtain a scholarship may receive a 75% reduction in tuition fees, paying only €2,000 per year instead of €8,000. Some scholarships may be reserved for students from target regions defined by Erasmus Mundus, thereby strengthening the global and inclusive dimension of the programme.

Pre-registration process

Pre-enrolment is the procedure used to rank all the applications received for each university master’s degree, based on the established admission requirements and the assessment of the merits presented by each applicant. At the Universitat Politècnica de València, this procedure is carried out through an online application, with a different (longer) deadline for students from outside the European Union. Prospective applicants to this university master’s degree will find below step-by-step instructions on how to complete pre-enrolment: deadlines, fees, documents, regulations, and more.
