Exploratory actions of the Valencia City Council Sandbox
The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), in collaboration with the City Council of Valencia, has launched the 2026 call for grants for Exploratory Actions of the SANDBOX VLC program, which aims to finance preliminary studies and innovation tests with high transfer potential, which require validation in real environments through the Urban Sandbox of Valencia. This initiative is part of the agreement signed between both institutions to promote experimentation, university-administration cooperation and the practical application of scientific knowledge for the benefit of citizens.
According to the rules, the call is aimed at research staff of the UPV and prioritizes projects aligned with the strategic areas of innovation of the city, which provide added value in the municipal area and are in an advanced stage of technological development. To this end, this internal call for the submission of proposals aimed at obtaining these grants is promoted. The deadline for submitting applications will be open until the following date May 29, 2026 at 23:59 hours.
