Dear Colleagues,

we are very glad to inform you that the University of Bologna will be hosting the 2025 Staff Training Week (STW) “The International Outlook of Universities: a cross-cutting approach” from November 10th to November 14th, 2025.

Applications are now open! Kindly register by 5 September 2025.

In an increasingly cross-cutting international orientation, Higher Education Institutions need a transversal approach. This trend, however, is marked by operational and institutional challenges. Is it possible to create a common vision of international relations at our Higher Education Institutions? What are the tools and organisational models that make it possible to overcome hurdles and coordinate global actions?

Through workshops, collaborative discussions, and shared reflections, the programme will provide a valuable chance to meet with colleagues from different European universities, share good practices, and work together on integrated strategy of international relations.

The STW is addressed to University Officers familiar with:
• Knowledge Diplomacy
• Mobility and Inter-Institutional Agreements
• International Networks and European alliances
• Development cooperation
• Welcome and Support of International Students

The STW programme is free of charge. Accommodation, travel costs, lunches and dinners are not included and can be covered by using Erasmus+ Staff Mobility grants.

For further info about the STW, rules, programme and applications:

Should you have any questions or need any kind of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Come to Bologna for an inspiring and professional experience!
