Did you know that if you’re a student at the Gandia campus, you can ride Line 1 of the city bus—which connects the train station to the university—for free? Here’s everything you need to know.
Students at the Gandia campus of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) can ride for free on the City bus Line 1, which connects the Gandia train station with the university campus.
This service is available only on school days as listed on the academic calendar and is suspended during periods when there are no classes. The stops are located across from the Renfe train station in Gandia and next to the campus cafeteria.
Terms of Use for the Transit Card
To take advantage of this service, you must be enrolled at the UPV, be under 30 years of age, and apply for your transit card.
Applications may be submitted during two periods:
- September 1–30 (regular session)
- February 1–10 (special session)
The transit pass is personal and non-transferable and is valid from the start of the academic year until the end of classes. Remember that it can only be used on school days.
The card application process is simple and can be completed through the UPV intranet.
